murmuratar app for iPhone and iPad

murmuratar is an augmented reality art project by Sean Vicary and Steve Knight originally commissioned for the Blinc Festival 2013.

Murmuration
(noun, literary)
1 [mass noun] the action of murmuring
2 a flock of starlings.

This app will use a Twitter feed (if available) of your choosing to create a virtual sculpture, an augmented reality flock of words that will fly around you, initially confused, but then slowly forming groups and cohesing.

If you do not use Twitter, or your device is not set up for it then the app will choose words from it’s in-built library.

The app only has a 17+ rating because it can access external Twitter feeds - and we have no control over the content of those.
